Rev. Leroy Mahoney has faithfully served as the Pastor of First Baptist Church for the past eleven years. Guided by the principle to teach the people of God, preach to the people of God, and reach the people of God, his ministry is grounded in the mission of the Great Commission:

“Go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.” — Matthew 28:19

Rev. Mahoney is the former President of the Baptist Ministers’ Conference of Boston and Vicinity and currently serves as the Vice President of Information Technology at Massachusetts Institute of Technology Federal Credit Union in Cambridge, MA.

In addition to his pastoral and professional roles, Rev. Mahoney is the Founder, CEO, and Director of Information Technology for Community Tech Care Corp (communitytechcare.org), a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering, educating, and enhancing lives through free, community-based technology and education programs.

When not pastoring, working in IT, or managing his nonprofit; Rev. Mahoney devotes time to mentoring, particularly focusing on youth within the community. He is passionate about helping others grow spiritually, professionally, and personally.

Rev. Mahoney is married to First Lady, Deaconess Natavia (Brown) Mahoney, whom he affectionately calls “Babe.” Together, they have one daughter, Shataya Monet Pope, and share a strong commitment to faith, family, and service.

Above all, Rev. Mahoney is a man who loves God, cherishes his family, supports young people, and is devoted to uplifting his community. His favorite pastime is spending quality time with his best friend and wife, Natavia.
